Remembrance Day Service at Edmonton
A Remembrance Day service will be held at City Hall to honour the achievements and sacrifices of those who served our country in times of war and peace. Join The Loyal Edmonton Regiment and Mayor Stephen Mandel for this tribute.

Edmonton - November 11, 2012 - A Remembrance Day service will be held at City Hall to honour the achievements and sacrifices of those who served our country in times of war and peace. Join The Loyal Edmonton Regiment and Mayor Stephen Mandel for this tribute.

Date: Sunday November 11, 2012
Time: 10:15 - 11:30am
Location: City Room, City Hall

A wreath-laying service will conclude the proceedings outside on the City Hall Plaza at 10:30am. Parking at City Hall is free on November 11, 2012 in honour of the statutory holiday.

Please note that 100 Street will be reduced to one lane in each direction on November 11, 2012 from 9am to noon to accommodate Remembrance Day Ceremonies at City Hall. Detour using 97 Street to avoid travel delays.

In addition to the service at City Hall, the City of Edmonton will hold a Remembrance Day ceremony at the Butterdome at Van Vliet Centre, University of Alberta (89 Avenue and 112 Street) from 10am-noon. Join the Lieutenant Governor of Alberta as we pay our respects to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in Canada's past conflicts.

Veteran’s Week Ceremonies
Veteran's Week is celebrated November 5 to 11, 2012 across Canada. There are several events and Remembrance Day services in Edmonton to honour the achievements and sacrifices of those who have bravely served in our country’s military.

If you wish to attend a memorial ceremony, please visit Veteran’s Affairs for ceremonies being held in your area.

Remembrance Day at Municipal Cemeteries
The City of Edmonton cemeteries will be lowering the Canadian flags in the Fields of Honour for our veterans on Remembrance Day. The Fields of Honour are located at:

Edmonton Cemetery 11820 - 107 Avenue
Beechmount Cemetery 12420 - 104 Street
Northern Lights Cemetery 156 Street - St. Albert Trail (15203 Campbell Road)
