Wilkes-Barre Scranton - December 7, 2014 -

Tonight's game at the Giant Center in Hershey got of to a rocky start for the WBS Penguins, Tom Kostopoulos almost put one past Grubauer but couldn't find the handle Hershey Bears come back the other way and score just seconds into tonight's game and the Teddy Bears flew.

After they cleaned up all the teddy bears from the teddy bear toss play resumed. LeBlond would get called behind the scenes for interference putting the penguins on the penalty kill. LeBlond out of the penalty box can't make the play but a give and go with Pouliot and Kostopoulos gives the Pens a goal making it one to one.

Carter Rowney rings one off the post looked like it went in but was waived off, after review pick never crossed the line.

The first period would end with the Hershey Bears on the power play as Harrington got whistled for a double minor high stick, Hershey looking at carryover power play to start the second.

WBS would draw a penalty in the beginning of the second making it 4x4 hockey,  instead of the Bears power play, for 2 minutes but just as the 4x4 subsides Hershey goes back to the power play Pens blow a coverage and the Bears go up 2-1. WBS Penguins come right back as Bobby Farnham redirects a shot past Grubauer making it even at 2 early in the second.

Pens get a great chance on the power play as the Bears Olesky sits for roughing the the Bears clear it over the glass giving WBS a 5x3 but it is no help Hershey kills it off. Penguins gets more chances on the power play but do nothing with them as the Bears kill them off as well. Dominik Uher takes a penalty with just 15 seconds left in the. Leaving Hershey a 15 second power play and I:45 of carryover to start the third period.

WBS Penguins kill off the carryover to start the third period and get a power play of their own giving them a great chance to take the lead. Pouliot would team up with Kostopoulos and score the Pens a power play goal putting WBS in the lead 3-2. Hershey would hand the WBS Penguins another power play right after the goal WBS would take it down to nine seconds left and take a penalty of their own giving Hershey a chance to even up.

It would go right to the wire tonight as the Bears would try everything to even the score back up, but the WBS Penguins would hold on to the one goal lead through the end of regulation giving John Hynes is 200th win with their 3-2 victory over the Hershey Bears.
