Breaking:  Maple Leafs trade Clarkson to Columbus for Horton
The Toronto Maple Leafs have made another trade. Today the NHL club sent forward David Clarkson to the Columbus Blue Jackets, in exchange for Nathan Horton. Horton, 29, has not skated this season due injury (back). The native of Welland, Ontario has appeared in a total of 627 career NHL regular season games between Columbus, Boston and Florida, registering 421 points (203 goals, 218 assists).

Toronto - February 26, 2015 - The Toronto Maple Leafs have made another trade. Today the NHL club sent forward David Clarkson to the Columbus Blue Jackets, in exchange for Nathan Horton.

David Nonis, Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs, announced Thursday that the hockey club has acquired forward Nathan Horton from the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for forward David Clarkson.

Horton, 29, has not skated this season due injury (back). The native of Welland, Ontario has appeared in a total of 627 career NHL regular season games between Columbus, Boston and Florida, registering 421 points (203 goals, 218 assists). Horton has also skated in 43 career NHL playoff games, collecting 36 points (15 goals, 21 assists) while winning a Stanley Cup with the Bruins in 2011.

The Maple Leafs return to the ice tonight when they host to the Philadelphia Flyers at 7:30 p.m.
