Fundraiser for Elijah Marsh now over $140,000

A fundraiser to help cover the costs of the Elijah Marsh funeral has exceeded expectations. The target was initially $20,000 and as of 8:15 this morning a total of $143,756 had been raised. The initiative is hosted on Tilt.com and is being spearheaded by Justin Kozuch (@jkozuch on Twitter). Last evening, Kozuch tweeted that he would work with the Toronto Police Service and Victim Services Toronto to ensure funds are delivered as respectfully as possible.

Toronto - February 21, 2015 - A fundraiser to help cover the costs of the Elijah Marsh funeral has exceeded expectations. The target was initially $20,000 and as of 8:15 this morning a total of $143,756 had been raised.

As most Torontonians have heard, 3 year old Elijah Marsh disappeared from his grandmother's North York home in the early hours of February 19th, 2015.

He was found 6 hours later and despite the efforts of North York General Hospital medical staff, he succumbed to the bitter cold he found himself in while a search effort was mounted.

The death of this child must be truly devastating to the family and friends of Elijah, the many members of the law enforcement and medical community in Toronto, as well as the countless Torontonians who helped search for him, spread the message of his disappearance and prayed for his safe return.

Help us raise some much-needed funds to help cover the cost of Elijah's funeral. Every dollar matters and any donation you make is greatly appreciated.
