Iroquois Dam gates to be lowered

Ontario Power Generation’s Ottawa/St. Lawrence Plant Group has been directed by the International St. Lawrence River Board of Control to lower the gates of the Iroquois Dam effective Thursday January 26 for an indefinite period. This is to reduce the level of Lake St. Lawrence, which are higher than normal because of rain and snow melt.
