Heinz Canada to close Leamingtion Plant
Devasting news out of Leamington, Ontario today as workers at the Heinz Canada plant have been told that the facility will shut down in June of 2014. Leamington Mayor John Paterson and Windsor-Essex Economic Development Corporation CEO Sandra Pupatello are expected to hold a media conference at 3:00 pm on Thursday.

Windsor - November 14, 2013 - Devasting news out of Leamington, Ontario today as workers at the Heinz Canada plant have been told that the facility will shut down in June of 2014.

Leamington Mayor John Paterson and Windsor-Essex Economic Development Corporation CEO Sandra Pupatello are expected to hold a media conference at 3:00 pm on Thursday.

The plant employs 800 full-time employees in Leamington and up to 500 additional seasonal workers during the tomato harvesting season.
