Pigskin Picks - Vick and the Eagles to upset Romo and the Cowboys
After posting four for five results for each of the first six week of the season, Pigskin picks had a slide in Week 7. This week Glenn Austen sees Michael Vick and the Philadelphia Eagles squeeking out a win against Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboys.

Antigonish - October 30, 2011 - After posting four for five results for each of the first six week of the season, Pigskin picks had a slide in Week 7, missing big on the upset of the week (although my stomach was a bit upset with the result), with a two for fove showing that brought me back to Earth just a bit. Week 8 sees some matches that should be just as challenging - they do play the games for a reason after all!

Lock of the Week - Saints at Rams - Anyone who watched the Saints vs the Colts saw firsthand how the fortunes of those two teams has differed since they last met in the Superbowl. The Colts, sans Manning, look to be the worst team in the league. Unfortunately for the Rams, they seem destined for a similar result versus the high powered Saints, who look to "Brees" through the porous St Louis defense in the same manner they destroyed the beleagured Indy D. Saints win

Upset of the Week - Dallas @ Philly -
The Eagles so-called "Dream team" has struggled mightily this season, contrary to virtually all expectations. The Cowboys too, however, have struggled to keep up with preseason expectations, and while Romo and the Dallas passing attack has moved the ball, they have been prone to last game miscues that have made all the difference. RB DeMarco Murray, on the basis of a brilliant game last week has seemingly vaulted to the head of the rookie RB class, but should find the running room a lot tougher this week. QB Vick shakes his funk and survives a shootout with his counterpart Romo in a tight one. Eagles win!

Arizona @ Baltimore -
The Baltimore offence pulled a disappearing act last week - they will show for this one. RB Ry Rice has too much pride and talent to be shut down two weeks in a row -especially against this defence! Baltimore wins.

Jacksonville @ Houston -
Despite losing stars on both side of the ball to injury, QB Matt Schaub and company continue to play well, while the Jaguars continue to demonstrate that Cam Newton aside, rookie QB's will struggle to consistently move the ball in the NFL. Look for the Texans to continue their winning ways in this one. Houston wins.

Miami @ NY Giants -
Winless at 0-6, the Dolphins should have beaten Tebow and the Broncos last week with a 15 point 4th quarter lead, but apparently no one gave them the memo that Tebow can run. While they won't have to worry about that with Eli Manning, they will have to contend with the Giants fearsome pass rush as well as stopping Hakeem Nicks and the passing attack. Matt Moore and company just don't have the guns to do it! Giants win.
