Owen Sound Attack
Last season, Owen Sound finished third in the Midwest Division with a 32-29-3-4 record. The Attack were the most penalized team in 2011-12 with a team total of 1377 penalty minutes. LW Mike Halmo lead last year’s squad in scoring with 40 goals and 85 points. Keevin Cutting has been named Captain of the Owen Sound Attack for the 2012-13 season. Cutting, who is in his fifth season with the Attack is the 19th Captain in Owen Sound franchise history and replaces former Captain Halmo who was an overage player during the 2011-12 campaign.
Last season, Windsor finished fourth in the West Division with a 29-32-5-2 record. The Spitfires were the second most penalized team in 2011-12 with a team total of 1301 penalty minutes. LW Kerby Rychel lead the Spits in scoring last year with 41 goals and 74 points. Saverio Posa was recently named team Captain for the upcoming season. Tonight will see a number of players make their debut in a Windsor uniform including Emerson Clark, Josh Ho Sang and Derek Schoenmakers.

It is expected that Jordan Binnington will get the start for the Attack, while Jaroslav Pavelka is believed to be getting the nod in the Windsor cage.
It has been 175 days since the Spitfires have played a meaningful game at the WFCU Centre. The Spits are celebrating the beginning of the new season with a huge pre-game party outside the WFCU Centre starting at 5:15. The party will feature live music from the Bruce Brothers Band playing live music until 6:50 PM, and later in the main bar inside during the first and second intermissions.,CKLW-AM800 airing a live pre-game show from 6-7pm and a licensed outdoor refreshment tent and food.
