The Greyhounds won their home opener last night 6-5 in overtime against the Plymouth Whalers. Brandon Alderson scored his second of the night, 22 seconds into overtime to propel the home team to victory. Ryan Sproul had three points for the ‘Hounds and Darnell Nurse and David Broll each chipped in with two assists. Goaltender Matt Murray got the win for Sault Ste. Marie
The Spitfires record sits at 0-1-0-0 after getting trounced 6-1 by the Owen Sound Attack in Windsor’s home opener on Thursday. Michael Clarke scored the team’s only goal and Josh Ho Sang drew an assist in his first OHL game. Newcomer Emerson Clark got into his first fight as a Spitfire. Jaroslav Pavelka was pulled in the third period.

The Spitfires look to avenge a second half breakdown in Thursday’s 6-1 loss against Owen Sound. Post game, Head Coach Bob Boughner spoke about the need for the team to be more disciplined and take less penalties. Rookie Josh Ho Sang had a good night in his first OHL game and Boughner has high expectations for his first round pick.
