Spits deliver lacklustre performance, get pounded by Storm
Windsor forward Michael Clarke comes close to putting one past Storm goaltender Garret Sparks on Thursday night. Sparks stopped all 23 shots fired his way for the shutout.

Windsor - October 5, 2012 - Zack Mitchell had a pair of goals and Garret Sparks stopped all 23 shots he faced, as the Guelph Storm dominated the Spitfires in a 5-0 win on Thursday night in front of 5,565 at the WFCU Centre.

The Storm enjoyed 12 power play opportunities and converted four times in the victory.

Tanner Richard (3A) and Scott Kosmachuk (1G, 2A) each chipped in three points. Brock McGinn and Ben Harpur scored the other goals for Guelph (3-2-0-0).

The Spitfires went 0-for-5 with the man-advantage and only managed double-digit shots in the third period (10). Jaroslav Pavelka made 39 saves in a losing cause.

The Spitfires are right back at it on Friday night, as they travel to London to take on the Knights.
