Windsor - October 5, 2012 - The Windsor Spitfires continue their 2012-13 Ontario Hockey League season with a road game against the London Knights. Tonight’s game will mark the first trip to the Forest City for the Spits this season. Game time is 7:30 pm.
The Knights have an even record at 2-2-0-0 after getting soundly defeated by the Guelph Storm 4-1 on Sunday afternoon. The Knights however remain one of the top ranked teams in the country, sitting at number four in the BMO Mastercard CHL Rankings. Seth Griffith leads the Knights in scoring with seven points in four games. Max Domi is second with six points in the same number of games. The Knights are currently in fourth place in the MidWest Division.
The Spitfires enter the game coming off a 5-0 home ice trouncing last night at the hands of the Guelph Storm. Other than Jarolsav Pavelka, the Spits simply did not show up last night. Windsor’s record now sits at 3-2-0-1. Montreal Draftee Brady Vail leads the team in scoring with nine points in six games and sits third in League scoring. Colorado Avalanche prospect Michael Clarke is second in goal scoring with three. The Spits are now with the most penalized team in the Ontario Hockey League with 111 minutes in eight games.

It is expected that Kevin Bailie will get the start for London. Bailie has played all of the minutes thus far for the Knights. Expect Pavelka to be between the pipes tonight for the visitors despite playing last night in Windsor. Pavelka has played well in recent games and Bob Boughner will need to field his best team in one of the toughest places to play in the OHL. Watch for Jordan DeKort to play on Monday.
It is a busy Thanksgiving weekend for the Spits as they hosted the Storm last, travel east on the 401 tomorrow to take on the London Knights tonight and return home on Monday to host the Sarnia Sting.
