Owen Sound - October 29, 2012 - Joseph Blandisi scored twice and added an assist, as Owen Sound topped Windsor 5-2 on Sunday afternoon at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre.

Chris Marchese (3,4) scored both goals for the Spitfires (7-6-0-3).

Marchese opened the scoring at 11:28 of the first period, banging home his own rebound off a wraparound.

With the game tied in the waning moments of the frame, Cameron Brace and Blandisi scored in a 15-second stretch to give the Attack a quick 3-1 lead.

The flurry chased Spitfires goalie Jaroslav Pavelka, who stopped 10 of the 13 shots he faced.

Marchese's second goal came 1:23 after Gemel Smith put the Attack up 4-1 in the second. But the Spits would get no closer, as Daniel Catenacci put the game out of reach at 13:32 of the third period.

The game featured 74 penalty minutes, eight misconducts and three game misconducts.

DeKort stopped 20 of the 23 shots he faced in 40 minutes of work.

The Spits now return home to face the London Knights on Thursday, November 1st.
