Windsor - November 1, 2012 - The Windsor Spitfires continue their 2012-13 Ontario Hockey League season with a home game against the London Knights. Tonight’s game will mark the first time the arch-rival Knights visit the WFCU Centre this season. Game time is 7:05 pm.
The Knights have a record at 8-4-0-2 so far this season. The Knights are currently on a two game losing skid after dropping a pair of one goal games last weekend to the Plymouth Whalers and Guelph Storm. Both of these loses came at the Budweiser Gardens in London. Seth Griffith leads the Knights in scoring with 21 points in 14 games. Max Domi is second with 20 points in the same number of games. The Knights are currently in fourth place in the MidWest Division.
The Spitfires enter the game coming off a five game road trip due to Skate Canada being held at the WFCU Centre. The Spits went 2-3-0-0 on the road trip and their season record now sits at 7-6-0-3. Montreal Draftee Brady Vail leads the team in scoring with 20 points in 16 games. Kerby Rychel has 13 points in 16 games to sit second. Expect Jaroslav Pavelka to get the nod in nets tonight for the home squad. The Spits now sit 4th in the west division and 8th in the conference. The standings are very tight as they are also only one point out of first in their division.
