Spits rally but fall short in 4-3 loss to Kingston
A pair of Nick Ebert goals got the Windsor Spitfires close in the third period, but the Kingston Frontenacs held on for a 4-3 victory in front of 5,672 at the WFCU Centre on Sunday afternoon. Billy Jenkins scored twice in the second period, sandwiched around Darcy Greenaway's team-leading 15th of the year.

Windsor - November 26, 2012 - A pair of Nick Ebert goals got the Spitfires close in the third period, but the Kingston Frontenacs held on for a 4-3 victory in front of 5,672 at the WFCU Centre on Sunday afternoon.

Billy Jenkins scored twice in the second period, sandwiched around Darcy Greenaway's team-leading 15th of the year, giving Kingston (14-11-0-0) a 4-1 lead after 40 minutes.

The Spits came on strong in the third, getting goals from Ebert (3, 4) at 9:48 and 13:25. But the tying goal never came, as Mike Morrison (40 saves) stood tall in the Kingston goal.

Jordan DeKort made 33 saves in goal for Windsor (10-11-1-4), which remains in a tie for third in the West Division with Saginaw.

Trevor Murphy and Zach Lorentz recorded a point for the second consecutive game since coming over from Peterborough in a trade on Thursday.

The Spits host the Barrie Colts on Thursday, November 29th. Gametime is 7:05.
