Three goal third lifts Knights over Spits
Alex Broadhurst scored the winning goal at 1:06 of the third period, as the London Knights topped the Windsor Spitfires 5-2 on Thursday night in front of 5,719 at the WFCU Centre. Ryan Rupert scored twice for London (44-12-2-2), while Max Domi and Bo Horvat added singles.

Windsor - February 28, 2013 - Alex Broadhurst scored the winning goal at 1:06 of the third period, as the Knights topped the Spitfires 5-2 on Thursday night in front of 5,719 at the WFCU Centre.

Ryan Rupert scored twice for London (44-12-2-2), while Max Domi and Bo Horvat added singles.
Ben Johnson (19) and Kerby Rychel (36) had the Windsor (24-30-1-6) goals and Brady Vail added two assists.

Rychel's goal at 12:47 of the second period erased a 2-0 first period deficit, tying the game at 2-2. But it was all Knights in the third.

After Broadhurst's 21st of the season, Rupert scored his second of the night on the power play at 10:37. Then Domi's 36th of the season into an empty net rounded out the scoring at 18:04.

Jaroslav Pavelka made 36 saves in the Windsor goal. Anthony Stolarz was far less busy, but made big saves when called upon, and 21 on the night in all. London outshot Windsor 18-8 in the pivotal third period.

The Spits now hit the road for a Saturday night match-up with the Erie Otters and a Sunday afternoon game in Niagara.
