BAG OF PUCKS - Prediction of Maple Leafs, Bruins series
I know I will take a lot of heat for this prediction and will receive my fair share of ribbing, but I am calling the Toronto Maple Leafs to beat the Boston Bruins in six games. Most people seem to think that the Leafs don't stand much of a chance against the Bruins, but the underdog role might work in their favour.

Stoney Point - April 11, 2019 - I know I will take a lot of heat for this prediction and will receive my fair share of ribbing, but I am calling the Toronto Maple Leafs to beat the Boston Bruins in six games.

Most people seem to think that the Leafs don't stand much of a chance against the Bruins, but the underdog role might work in their favour. My theory is that the Leafs get a split of the first two games in Bean Town and then don't lose a game on home ice. Thus, Leafs in six.

This is a different Leafs team than last year. John Tavares and Jake Muzzin have been good additions. Mitch Marner and Morgan Reilly had career years. Most of the season Frederik Andersen was their best player. Kasperi Kapanen and Andreas Johnsson have been nice regular additions this season and if all goes well Auston Matthews and William Nylander will perform better in the playoffs this spring.

Ideally, the Leafs will get the Bruins to play their style of game and not the other way around. Clearly, Toronto can't be giving up a five spot every night and Andersen will need to be the best player in the series, but I think they can win this series.

Maybe I have my Blue and White goggles on or maybe I just don't want to lose yet another case of beer to Bruin's fan, Shawn Garvey. Either way it will be a fun series to watch!
