Devlin emerges as fittest Spitfire as Training Camp begins

Defenceman Brandon Devlin finished tops overall among 47 Spitfires returnees, prospects and training camp hopefuls in fitness testing on Day One of 2012 Training Camp at the WFCU Centre on Monday. The top five finishers were Devlin, Adam Bateman, Kerby Rychel, Sam Studnicka, Brady Vail.

Windsor - August 28, 2012 - Defenceman Brandon Devlin finished tops overall among 47 Spitfires returnees, prospects and training camp hopefuls in fitness testing on Day One of 2012 Training Camp at the WFCU Centre on Monday.

TOP FIVE FINISHERS: Brandon Devlin, Adam Bateman, Kerby Rychel, Sam Studnicka, Brady Vail.

Devlin placed first in the long jump and chin-ups portions of the test.

Rychel and Vail finished tied for first in agility. Nick Czinder was first in the bench press, with Rychel and Devlin tying for fourth.

Studnicka finished first in the combined sprint, with Bateman third, Devlin fourth and Rychel fifth.
