Shores of Erie Wine Festival was a huge success

The 8th Annual Shores of Erie International Wine Festival was nothing but a huge success! With continuous live entertainment, over 50 vendors serving up the best local food and wine, wine seminars, and more - it is a wine lovers paradise.

Amherstburg - September 13, 2012 - The 8th Annual Shores of Erie International Wine Festival was nothing but a huge success! With continuous live entertainment, over 50 vendors serving up the best local food and wine, wine seminars, and more - it is a wine lovers paradise.

Native Detroiter, Kimmie Horne performed to an appreciative crowd on Saturday night. Having been compared to such legendary artist as, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald and Lena Horne, Kimmie's performances are said to revitalize their collective spirits.

Organizers estimate that a crowd of 20,000 people took in the event on the beautiful banks of the Detroit River, Fort Malden National Historic Site of Canada.

As newcomers to the area, Cynthia and I loved our first experience at the Wine Festival and are already looking forward to next year. Congratulations to Karen Gyorgy and her army of volunteers on a job well done!
