Windsor - November 8, 2012 - As Sandra Pupatello is set to announce her intention to run for leader of the Liberal party, Essex NDP MPP Taras Natyshak says people are tired of Liberals putting their party’s needs ahead of the needs of Ontarians, and want MPPs to get back to work.

“If you're applying for the top job in the Legislature you better be ready to explain why you shut it down,” said Natyshak. “People are worried about jobs, healthcare and getting squeezed right out of the middle class. The problems Ontarians are facing everyday didn’t go on a break when the Liberals closed down Queen’s Park. We need to get back in the Legislature and start helping the people of Ontario.”

“A lot of folks seem to think Sandra Pupatello represents a clean slate for the scandal-ridden Liberals,” said Natyshak. “You have to remember that she was part of the same arrogant and entitled team that made the mess at ORNGE, wasted millions on cancelling private gas plants and brought us the HST.”

Pupatello served in McGuinty's cabinet from 2003 to 2011.

“This isn’t a fresh start or a new face. These are the same old political games that do nothing to solve the problems Ontarians face everyday,” said Natyshak.
