Hockey is Canadien
Scott Gomez - soon to be an ex-Hab?
There is quite a bit of chatter that the New York Islanders may be interested in trading for Scott Gomez. Specific details of this report have not yet been disclosed. It is hard to believe that Montreal forward Scott Gomez, who has a cap hit of $7,357,143 until 2013/14, that any other NHL team would want to take his lofty contract onto their books.

Whitby - August 22, 2011 - There is quite a bit of chatter that the New York Islanders may be interested in trading for Scott Gomez.

Specific details of this report have not yet been disclosed.

It is hard to believe that Montreal forward Scott Gomez, who has a cap hit of $7,357,143 until 2013/14, that any other NHL team would want to take his lofty contract onto their books.

The New York Islanders currently have $18,329,834 of cap space left, so perhaps there is some accuracy to this report.

This news has just broken. I will report back later, hopefully with more details.
