My night in the Winnipeg Jets Press Box
It was a great night. A chance to see a game in Winnipeg in the MTS Centre. A chance to be on-air and see how a show runs together with all the extra work off the air. I figured that it would do a lot of good for the Jets Hockey Podcast we do through the site as well. And I’d get to meet a whole bunch of people in and around the Jets organization.

Winnipeg - January 23, 2012 - It wasn’t the summer of ’69, it was the night of January 21, 2012 that was a night to remember. It started a few months ago with the TSN 1290 Hustler and Lawless Sports Show partnering with Big Sisters, Big Brothers of Winnipeg for a charity auction. The chance to guest host on the show. I put in my bids and won.

“When we knew it was you, we were hyped,” an ecstatic Hustler said during the show.

“Not nearly as hyped as I was,” I thought to myself. I figured it was really just a big win for everyone, including you the readers.

As I sit and type this I’m watching the first period from my seat in the press box. I can’t begin to tell you how awesome this is. I’m happy that a charity has benefited from my experience and would like to thank TSN 1290, Hustler & Lawless, the Winnipeg Jets and all the readers and listeners. I hope that you enjoyed my time on air.
