Pigskin Picks - Look for RGIII to engineer big upset over Giants
The New York Giants are a great team, no question, and are certainly the better team in the game against the Washington Redskings, in my humble opinion. They have a tendency, however, not to play their best in games in which they are a clear favorite. Look for Robert Griffin III to engineer the big upset.

Antigonish - October 20, 2012 - Pigskin Picks is back after a week hiatus, and coming off a 3 for 5 performance in Week 5 to bring my record to 13 for 25, Week 7 offers a chance to put my poor start behind me.

Lock of the Week -NY Jets at New England - Rex Ryan's Jets are still a trainwreck, even after their dismantling the Colts in Week 6. The run game and Shonn Green that looked so dominant versus the weak Colts run defense willcome back to Earth against the Pats, and Tom Brady will rip up a Revis-less Jets secondary. While Jets CB Antonio Cromartie will lock down his side, look for Wes Welker to run wild in the Jets secondary, and for the Patriots to pull out the win, regardless of what Tim Tebow packages the Jets trot out. Pats win!

Upset of the Week - Redskins at Giants -
The Giants are a great team, no question, and are certainly the better team, in my humble opinion. They have a tendency, however, not to play their best in games in which they are a clear favorite, and you certainly cannot discount the explosive RGIII from doing some damage with his arm and legs. With steady rookie RB Alfred Morris to batter away at the Giants pass rush, look for RGIII to engineer the big upset. Redskins win!

Game of the Week - Baltimore @ Houston -
Baltimore is coming off a costly Week 6 game having lost still feared LB Ray Lewis and CB Ledarious Webb for the year. Houston is coming off its first loss of the year in its match versus Green Bay. Look for the loss of Lewis and Webb to cost the Ravens, who need all the help they can get against the powerful Houston offence. While Baltimore willnot make it easy, Houston prevails!

Green Bay @ St Louis -
While the Rams are an up and coming team behind the arm of QB Sam Bradford and the 1-2 RB punch of stalwart Steven Jackson and rookie Darryl Richardson, Green Bay has shaken off its early season slumber, and QB Aaron Rodgers should have no problem dismantling the St louis secondary. Though the Rams have the better running game, every other advantage belongs to Green Bay. That usually determine the winner. Packers win!

Jacksonville at Oakland -
In a game that only diehard fans and fantasy owners are interested in, the putrid Jaguars take on the woeful Raiders. While both teams have fantastic RB's in the forms of Maurice Jones Drew and Darren McFadden, there is little else to get excited about on either team. Look for Oakland to win in a battle of division doormats, as QB Carson Palmer may not have the arm he used to, but has a few more weapons now that WR Denarius Moore is back. QB Blaine Gabbert has not yet learned to consistently get the ball to talented rookie wideout Justin Blackmon, or anyone else for that matter. Raiders win!
