Lakeshore - Feb. 19, 2021: Lakeshore Recreation will begin to offer modified recreational programs, and use of its recreation facilities once the region officially enters Orange-Restrict of the response framework. Activities that may become available will include the indoor walking track, ice sports, open skating, shuffleboard, instructional classes at the Atlas Tube, Libro Centre in Woodslee and the Comber Community Centre, as well as a potential re-opening of the WFCU Pools at the Atlas Tube Recreation Centre. Toronto - Aug. 10, 2020: On the advice of the Chief Medical Officer Health and the local medical officer of health, Windsor-Essex will be allowed to move into Stage 3 on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at 12:01 a.m. The decision was based on positive local trends of key public health indicators, including lower transmission of COVID-19, ongoing hospital capacity, public health capacity to conduct rapid case and contact management, and a significant increase in testing. Lighthouse Cove - Aug. 3, 2020: Several roads in Lighthouse Cove currently have water over the road. North West winds along with high lake levels have caused this surge. Lakeshore crews have been dispatched and road barricades are erected. Windsor - Aug. 2, 2020: The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit (WECHU) received a report late Thursday that an employee of the Chuck’s Roadhouse Bar and Grill, located at 6675 Tecumseh Road East in Windsor, has tested positive for COVID-19. The employee worked between Friday, July 24 and Saturday, July 25. Restaurant management has advised the WECHU that a thorough cleaning and sanitization has taken place. FULL STORY
