Brodeur earns win in relief, Blues defeat Islanders
Uniondale - Dec. 6, 2014 - Martin Brodeur earned his first victory since signing with the St. Louis Blues after defeating the New York Islanders 6-4 at Nassau Coliseum on Saturday.
Brodeur, who signed a one-year contract with St. Louis on Tuesday, relieved an ineffective Jake Allen (three goals on 12 shots) to start the second period. He made 14 saves to earn his 689th career win in his sixth career relief appearance.
