Cornwall - Jul. 24, 2014: The Seaway Lighthouse 3rd Rail Modular Club held its 3rd annual train show at the Long Sault Arena on July 19th and 20th. The Seaway Train Show, which will be held the 3rd week of July every year. There were two raffles, one for a Via Rail trip from Cornwall to Halifax return, for two people including a sleeper, a value of $2056. The winner was Gail Ball from Chesterville. FULL STORY

Cornwall - Jul. 9, 2014: Many visitors came from around the Cornwall area to walk the historic bridge for the final time. This bridge leading from Cornwall to Cornwall Island (built in 1962), is a well known artifact in the city. It was interesting to walk the 1.6Km bridge and look down on Cornwall from a different perspective. The large amount of pedestrians walking was heart warming, really shows how big of an impact the bridge was to Cornwall. FULL STORY

Stoney Point - Jul. 4, 2014: On Canada Day weekend, myself and the neighbours to the east and west were out on our docks fishing. My neighbour to the west and I caught nothing but weeds, but our neighbour to the east seemed to be pulling in fish after fish. Tonight after our boat ride, I decided to try my new lure. Ten casts in, I got a hit. Fish jumped out of the water and the jitterbug landed this large mouth bass. FULL STORY

Tilbury - Jul. 4, 2014: When my grandfather passed away this week, our family decided to go with a farmer theme for the wake and funeral in his memory. We asked in the obituary that in lieu of flowers, please donate food items to the Tilbury Help Centre or your local food bank. We pulled out grandpa's tractors and displayed them in grandma's front yard with signs, pictured above. FULL STORY

Tecumseh - Jun. 30, 2014: My husband and I are royal mute swan breeders in Southern Ontario. Every year our pair have cygnets. "Angel and Hercules" have had as many as seven cygnets. Hercules can be very aggressive as Royal Mute Swans are very territorial. Here is a picture of our little paradise here on East Pike Creek Road. FULL STORY
