Windsor - Nov. 16, 2012 - Tourism Windsor Essex Pelee Island (TWEPI) would like to thank Stephen Colbert for a Movember to Remember.

The host of the satirical late-night show The Colbert Report has recently been under fire from Windsorites for suggesting in his latest book, America Again: Re-Becoming the Greatness We Never Weren’t, that Windsor might be the “Earth’s rectum.”

The team at TWEPI was able to weed through the rhetoric and see the positive in Colbert’s comments. Gordon Orr, Chief Executive Officer and his team recently launched a campaign to reach out to Colbert and his fans to support Prostate Cancer Research.

It’s not often that the spotlight is shining on the “rectum,” so we’d like to take this rare opportunity to remind Colbert and his fans to donate to prostate cancer research at Movember.com

Orr and his team made a substantial donation to the Movember team at Devonshire Mall - Windsor’s largest shopping destination.

Here's hoping Colbert himself will follow their lead and match the donation!
