Community Kitchen Coming to North Dundas this Fall
Community Kitchens give community members the opportunity to get together to share the cost, planning and preparation of healthy meals.

North Dundas - Oct. 12, 2011 - A Community Kitchen is coming to North Dundas this fall.

After a summer survey was conducted by the All Things Food SDG Community Food Network to determine interest in holding Community Kitchens in the region, planning for the first Kitchen is underway. Community Kitchens give community members the opportunity to get together to share the cost, planning and preparation of healthy meals.

The Community Kitchen project is a partnership between All Things Food, Linking Hands Dundas, and the Township of North Dundas. Residents interested in participating in or learning more about Community Kitchens are invited to attend a Community Kitchen planning meeting on Wednesday, November 9th from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. at the Winchester Community Centre.

At the meeting, participants will learn more about how a Community Kitchen operates and select recipes and a date for the first session. In one kitchen session, participants normally cook three to four healthy meals together to take-home for themselves or for their families.

If you’d like to cook healthy, low-cost meals, take home tasty meals for your family, and meet new friends, plan to attend the Community Kitchen meeting on November 9th. To pre-register for the meeting, please phone (613) 875-3262 or e-mail info@allthingsfoodbouffe360.ca.
