Cornwall - Apr. 2, 2011 - Cornwall's Jason Lepine has been named to the All-ECHL Second Team for 2010-11.

The defenceman and former Cornwall Colt was selected for the team based on a vote by coaches from the East Coast Hockey League, a 19-team league that is considered to be a tier below the AHL.

The 26-year-old is having a standout season with the Toledo Walleye. He leads ECHL defencemen with 35 assists and 44 points and he is tied for second with 17 power-play assists.

Lepine has also appeared in one game with Grand Rapids of the American Hockey League this season, tallying two assists.

Lepine starred with his hometown Colts for three seasons (2003 to 2006) before turning pro the following season.

Since then, the rearguard has spent time in several minor pro leagues in the U.S., and he's also enjoyed a few brief stints in the AHL.
