Jason McNamara is a talented photographer and his work is getting a lot of exposure lately. His art has become the focus of Cornwall. I sat down with McNamara at the Grind Cafe to learn more about the man behind the lens of Framed Photography.

Cornwall - Jun. 25, 2011 - Jason McNamara is a talented photographer and his work is getting a lot of exposure lately. His art has become the focus of Cornwall. I sat down with McNamara at the Grind Cafe to learn more about the man behind the lens of Framed Photography.

On Wednesday June 29th Cornwall Living Magazine is having a launch party at Schnitzels European Flavours from 4pm to 5pm. Last year a photo taken by Jason McNamara was featured on the cover of the magazine. The cover of this year's Cornwall Living Magazine is being kept under wraps, however one of McNamara's photos will once again grace the cover. "I did the cover last year, they used a shot I did for Corus Entertainment. This year Bob Peters called me and asked to shoot the cover".

Also on Wednesday June 29th, Jason McNamara will attend The Local Seeker's Award Ceremony and Dinner at the Cornwall Golf and Country Club at 5:30pm. McNamara is one of five people nominated as the best visual artist in Cornwall. "It's always nice to be recognized, cool to be nominated, and to see all the other artists", says McNamara.

Jason McNamara once wanted to be a commercial photographer for large corporations, but he has found strong niche markets for his work right here in Cornwall. "Capturing families, or photographing local businesses is more important than just becoming another name in the industry".

McNamara prides himself on taking photos people can't get just anywhere else. "For me new technology offers new opportunities. I do my best to offer people something they can't get everywhere else. If you want to be relevant, you have to be creative, not just technically sound, but I still try to be technically sound".

Jason McNamara, who's website has been recently added to the Choose Cornwall website, is thinking forward. "I'm hoping to get a studio, and also expand to video".
