New business brings new life to vehicle wheels
Wheels take a lot of abuse and are often in bad shape due to corrosion and pitting, not to mention the lack of shine as they age. This detracts from the overall look and value of the vehicle.

St. Andrews - Dec. 22, 2011 - Over the past few years, Mark Jodoin has become an expert wheel man. An expert in wheel refinishing that is.

Mr. Jodoin has been restoring cars for the past 11 years and his attention slowly turned to wheel restoration, an area of vehicle restoration that is often overlooked and underappreciated.

Wheels take a lot of abuse and are often in bad shape due to corrosion and pitting, not to mention the lack of shine as they age. This detracts from the overall look and value of the vehicle.

Seeing an opportunity, Mr. Jodoin recently opened Wheel Master Refinishing, a business that refinishes wheels to bring them back to their original look at a fraction of the price. The business is located on Maloney Road in St. Andrews West, and it services most types of car, truck, SUV and trailer wheels.

"Refinishing means that your vehicle will stay new looking for longer," said Mr. Jodoin. "It also means that the value of the vehicle will be maintained, which is great for trade in or resale."

In launching the new business, Mr. Jodoin turned to the Cornwall Business Enterprise Centre for some assistance.

"Mark is a great example of entrepreneurship," said Candy Pollard, Business Consultant with the Cornwall Business Enterprise Centre. "He is offering a new service that is not only of value to his customers, but also of value to our environment. We commend him for taking this initiative."
