Wilkes-Barre - January 2, 2015 -

It was a great start for the WBS Penguins as Conor Sheary split the D got a nice pass off to Tom Kostopoulos who got a nice touch pass back over to Nick Drezenovic and Drezenovic netted the Penguins first of the period, call that one a real tic tac goal.

Just over two minutes later Conor Sheary would get the WBS Penguins second of the period assisted by Drezenovic putting them both on Gordie Howe HTA and putting the Pens up 2-0 over the senators.

Samir Gill would round out the first with some nice moves across the blue line in on Hammond and played him like an organ making it three to zip WBS. That's how the first would end heading off for the first break WBS leading the Binghamton Senators. PL3 found a dance partner as Darren Kramer stepped up for Bingo, but it may have been a dance he wanted to sit out LeBlond did all the leading.

Second period not as good as the first for the WBS Penguins, no the boys slowed down a bit and only lit up Hammond for two goals this period. Matia Marcantuoni would get the pens 4th goal of the game just over six minutes into the second.

Matt Murray having a great game so far stopping all 25 of Binghamton's shots thus far in the game. Nick Drezenovic would tally his second of the night on the power play putting him on HTA and putting the WBS Penguins up 5-0. That would be that for the second as the Pens left the ice for the second period break with a great lead over the Senators.

Not much in the way of scoring in the third but Matt Murray did a great job once again keeping the Senators out of the WBS net, the Penguins had things under control and made their way through the third with just a few minor hiccups but none the worse for the wear.

Tonight's game would end giving Matt Murray the Shutout as the Penguins stumped the Binghamton Senators by the score of 5 to 0.
