New York - Jun. 8, 2020: Seven current and former NHL players announced Monday they had formed the Hockey Diversity Alliance, whose mission is to "eradicate racism and intolerance in hockey." BAG OF PUCKS - It appears Babcock wanted more depth at deadline

Stoney Point - Mar. 19, 2019: Looks like Toronto Maple Leafs Head Coach Mike Babcock agrees with many of the team's fans who felt the Buds should have acquired some defensive help at the trade deadline. See this quote from yesterday - You're supposed to build the best program you can so you have as much depth so you don't miss people. FULL STORY

McDavid, Oilers Prove Too Much For Hapless Flames

Edmonton - Oct. 18, 2015: On the strength of goals from Connor McDavid, Taylor Hall, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Nail Yakupov, the Edmonton Oilers registered their first win of the 2015-16 season with a 5-2 drubbing of the Calgary Flames on Saturday night. The four former first overall picks combined to score all five of the Oilers goals while combining for nine points. FULL STORY

Oilers: One question…Why?

Edmonton - Apr. 5, 2015: While an injury to Ryan Nugent-Hopkins left the Edmonton Oilers scrambling for a centre prior to their tilt with the Calgary Flames, one that ultimately produced a 4-0 loss, the fact Todd Nelson decided to use Taylor Hall as his first line centre was rather perplexing. It may have been the easy move to make but it was also the wrong one. Something tells me this was not all on the head coach, as this organization seems unwilling to give up on the notion of using Hall at centre. FULL STORY

Calgary - Nov. 23, 2015: It was the summer of 2013, and the St. Louis Blues found themselves with a glut of defencemen. To clear roster and salary space, they decided to place Kris Russell on waivers. Russell wasn’t a mystery man, he was a 26-year-old veteran of more than 350 NHL games, a known commodity to NHL teams. All of those teams, given the chance to acquire his rights at no asset cost, passed
