Mountain Top - April 10, 2016 -

The Hershey Bears took on your WBS Penguins this afternoon for a rematch of yesterday’s Penguins win.

Rematch or should I say carryover from last night, tonight Hershey vs. WBS Penguins, last night things got off to a better start for WBS than this afternoon. The Bears lit the lamp first today Ryan Bourque put his team up one to none just 5:10 in. The Penguins had some chances to even it up but Justin Peters shut them down every chance.

Krause and Burgdoerfer got in to a scuffle both called for a rough Burgdoerfer got an extra 2 giving WBS a power play. Tom Kostopoulos and Madison Bowey did a little dance shortly after both sat for five. At the buzzer for the first period the Pens trailed 1-0.

Hershey would pull out to a 2-0 lead in the second frame as Garrett Mitchell got a lucky bounce past DeSmith. Things would get chippy as tempers rose but by the end of the second the Penguins cut the Bears lead in half as Dustin Jeffrey put a shot on net and Kael Mouillierat redirected it last Justin Peters to make it a 2-1 game on a WBS Power Play just before the buzzer.

Dominik Simon made it a 2-2 game giving the Penguins some lift but just as quick as they got it the Bears took it away as Garrett Mitchell tallied Hershey’s third. WBS would even it up again as Carter Rowney put one past Justin Peters but three minutes later Chandler Stephenson made it four to three Bears.

WBS would pull DeSmith looking to tie it up but Hershey gets the empty netter, final score tonight WBS Penguins 3 Hershey Bears 5.
