Kitchener Rangers forward picked by Hurricanes
Kitchener Rangers forward Brent Pedersen was selected by the Carolina Hurricanes, 126th overall in the fifth round of the 2013 National Hockey League Entry Draft on Sunday. The Rangers' first round pick in the 2011 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection, the Arthur, ON native recorded 14 goals and 16 assists points in 67 games this season.

Kitchener - July 1, 2013 - Kitchener Rangers forward Brent Pedersen was selected by the Carolina Hurricanes, 126th overall in the fifth round of the 2013 National Hockey League Entry Draft on Sunday.

The Rangers' first round pick in the 2011 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection, the Arthur, ON native recorded 14 goals and 16 assists points in 67 games this season. The sophomore was named Kitchener's Most Improved Player at the 2013 End of Year banquet after doubling his previous career best point total.

Pedersen also won a bronze medal with Team Ontario at the 2012 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.
