Dad, who was instrumental in making me a hockey fan, passed away eleven years ago, Gordie left us in June of 2016, and Johnny Bower died on Boxing Day, (coincidentally the same day my dad died). Starting goaltender Frederik Andersen left Saturday's game against the Buffalo Sabres with an upper body injury. Forward Nikita Soshnikov was injured a few games ago against the Boston Bruins. Ottawa - Aug. 21, 2016: Ottawa Senators (@Senators) general manager Pierre Dorion announced today that the club has signed forward Logan Brown to a three-year entry-level contract.
Brown, 18, was the Senators’ first-round pick (11th overall) at June’s NHL Draft in Buffalo. He established new major junior career highs with 74 points (including new highs of 21 goals and 53 assists) and 40 penalty minutes while appearing in 59 regular-season games in his second full campaign with the Ontario Hockey League’s Windsor Spitfires in 2015-16.

Toronto - Feb. 29, 2016: The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Monday that the club has recalled forwards William Nylander, Kasperi Kapanen, Nikita Soshnikov, Zach Hyman, and Ben Smith from the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League (AHL). In addition, forwards Mark Arcobello, Brendan Leipsic and Josh Leivo were loaned to the Marlies.
