“How-to” Start a Community Garden Workshop this April
Are you interested in starting a community garden in your neighborhood or at your organization? The All Things Food SDG Community Food Network will be hosting a free “How to Start a Community Garden” workshop on Wednesday, April 11th from 6-8 p.m. at the Seaway Valley Community Health Centre in Cornwall.

Mountain - March 22, 2012 - Are you interested in starting a community garden in your neighborhood or at your organization?

The All Things Food SDG Community Food Network will be hosting a free “How to Start a Community Garden” workshop on Wednesday, April 11th from 6-8 p.m. at the Seaway Valley Community Health Centre in Cornwall.

Terri O’Neil, coordinator of Ottawa’s flourishing Community Gardening Network and staff member at Just Food Ottawa, will share her knowledge and expertise with participants. Topics will include: gathering a team and choosing a garden site, selecting the community garden model that works best for you, important resources and equipment, common challenges gardeners face, and more!

Interested participants are encouraged to contact Dana Kittle, All Things Food Coordinator to register for the workshop (by e-mail dana@allthingsfoodbouffe360.ca or by phone (613) 875-3262). Details on the workshop can also be found on All Things Food’s website at www.allthingsfoodbouffe360.ca
