Feb. 14, 2012: It’s been fourteen years since the last release in the legendary Diablo series. Diablo III was announced in 2008, and fans have been anxious for any news on the subject since then. After four years of waiting, the beta for the newest installment was recently released and fans have had very mixed reactions.
Feb. 13, 2012: Following a long slew of action movies that provide nothing but explosions and bloodshed, Chronicle is a refreshing look at humanity stretched too far. The science fiction film directed by Josh Trank and written by Max Landis follows a group of three boys who make an amazing discovery. FULL STORY
Feb. 9, 2012: Richard Salem leads an Improv Night at the Cornwall Regional Art Gallery on Pitt street from 8 to 10 pm on Tuesdays. Originally the class was formed by Amanda Marini-Rohde and her highschool friend, Larry O’Byrne, who went to college to learn about the dramatic arts. FULL STORY
Feb. 9, 2012: Winter in Canada is harsh, and a great way to avoid painful chapped lips and dry skin during the colder months is to invest in home remedies like homemade lip balm, moisturizing facial masks and deep moisture hand crèmes. Jan. 25, 2012: The St. Lawrence Power Development Visitor Centre opened in August 2010 with the purpose of telling the history of the St. Lawrence Seaway and Power Project. It is a beautiful building built to LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) standards. It is located just off of the St. Lawrence River, with the St. Lawrence Recreational Path right beside it. FULL STORY
Jan. 25, 2012: The original thought process of writing this book was to write the history of the Cornwall police. Within a month of starting that, I stumbled upon the story of Constable Davey and as a result of that I learned that people had never heard of him. Jan. 22, 2012: Adele Wilson is teaching a Zumba class for Curves Circuit with Zumba Fitness, a fairly recent addition to the Curves program. “Zumba is a fitness dance class. It is latin inspired, so we use a lot of latin music. We also use a lot of current music, so it’s a mixture. It’s hip hop, it’s reggaetone, it’s salsa, it’s meringue, so it’s really about infusing different styles of music together into a half and hour to an hour long workout." FULL STORY
