Windsor - Mar. 11, 2020:
Easter Seals Ontario (Windsor-Essex) is pleased to welcome Alex Bondy as its Male Regional Easter Seals Ambassador for 2020.

Alex Bondy is a bright five-year old who loves gym, music and playing on his iPad. However, his favourite thing to do is show off his new skill, his ability to walk! He started walking after a successful knee operation last summer, and he gets better and faster every day thanks to a device called a pacer that helps support his weight. Walking has helped him discover his self-confidence.

Alex’s mother, Tanya Harrison, is looking forward to this year’s Easter Seals Telethon where Alex can let his personality shine through and encourage community support for Easter Seals. Since Alex was born, she has learned how much Easter Seals can help families of kids with physical disabilities.

Easter Seals Ontario has been a champion of children and youth with physical disabilities from all ethnic and religious backgrounds within the communities of Windsor-Essex and across the province for the past 98 years. Proceeds from March is Easter Seals Month campaign, launched earlier this week throughout the communities of Windsor-Essex, will go towards funding of essential mobility and accessibility equipment, such as wheelchairs, walkers, ramps and lifts, for kids with physical disabilities, as well as opportunities for kids to experience fun, friendship and participation at fully accessible Easter Seals camps. Easter Seals is only able to provide its programs with the generous support of its donors and sponsors.
