Harper Government announces that Canadians can cross Canada-US border with a US rental vehicle
Ottawa - May. 17, 2012: The Honourable Rob Nicholson, P.C., Q.C., Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada, the Honourable Maxime Bernier, Minister of State for Small Business and Tourism, and Ryan Leef, the Member of Parliament for Yukon, on behalf of the Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities, today announced that Canadian residents will be able to bring a rental vehicle into Canada from the United States.
City Of Cornwall Releases Details of $293,000 Settlement with Robert Menagh
Cornwall - May. 16, 2012: The City of Cornwall has finalized a Memorandum of Settlement with its former Manager of Human Resources, Robert Menagh. Mr. Menagh was relieved of his duties on January 11, 2012 without cause.
Highway 401 closed due to fatal collision
Napanee - May. 15, 2012: Napanee OPP and Emergency Crews are still at the scene of the serious crash that caused two tractor trailer units to engulf in flames at Shannonville Rd, (Mile marker 566) on Hwy 401. The smoke was very thick causing poor vision for all motorists on the Hwy. Both East and West lanes are still closed.
