Ingleside - Oct. 24, 2011 - Rothwell-Osnabruck School hosted it's first Fitness Challenge Fundraiser on Friday, October 21st, 2011. The event featured a full day of fitness activities including muscular endurance conditioning by Quest PTS, Yoga by Jordan Ann Haven De Haan and Angie Dilaj, Bootcamp by Diane Beaupre, Zumba by Adele Campeau-Wilson, Caveman Strong by Tyler Touchette, Pilates by Tish Gibbs and Mixed Martial Arts by Jason St-Louis.

This fitness marathon was created by teacher Andrée Markell in order to raise funds to pay for trips to Caveman Strong in Cornwall. This partnership allows R-O to visit the facility six times a year. Any additional funds raised will go towards purchasing specialized fitness equipment.

Markell was happy with the amount of participation by students and was thrilled with the willingness of staff to participate in donating to the healthy lunch sponsored by Melanie and Jason Brown, parents at R-O.

“My goal is to expose students to different types of fitness, she said. “I want to show students that there is a wide variety of fitness genres and that there is something out there for everyone. I also wanted to bring in professionals to share their passion for the different types of fitness.”

A special thanks to our sponsors: RJ Bourgon and associates, Storm Realty, Pommier Jewelers, Marilyn Parisien, Jason and Melanie Brown and the Ingleside Men's Basketball League.
