No big surprise here, Gauthier relieved of GM duties in Montreal

Mar. 29, 2012: Really, it was no big surprise. To most Habs fans, probably the biggest surprise is the timing of today's news that General Manager Pierre Gauthier has been relieved of his managerial duties. Granted, the 2011-12 version of les Bleus-Blancs-Rouges is not a pleasant one. The team currently sits in 28th place. FULL STORY

Myers gets the winner in Overtime as Habs fall to Sabres

Mar. 13, 2012: An old-fashioned wrist shot by Buffalo Sabres’ towering defenseman Tyler Myers at 2:01 of overtime ended the Montreal Canadiens’ comeback on Monday evening at the First Niagara Center. The Canadiens looked less-than-spectacular on this evening when compared to their previous on-ice performance in Vancouver on Saturday night. FULL STORY

Canadiens Right on the Mark(ov) Handing the Canucks a 4-1 Loss

Mar. 12, 2012: The Montreal Canadiens were firing on all cylinders Saturday night as they handily beat one of the NHL’s strongest teams, the NorthWest Division leading Vancouver Canucks. The Canadiens played an entertaining blend of fast-paced, hard-hitting old-time hockey that silenced the Sedin twins for an entire 60 minutes. FULL STORY

Montreal Canadiens’ tradeables less than desirable

Feb. 22, 2012: It is time to restock the cupboards and face the harsh reality–the current version of the Montreal Canadiens is just not talented enough to compete on a nightly basis with the NHL’s top teams. The problem with this year’s version of Les Bleus-Blanc-Rouges stems the fact the entire team is too inconsistent from game-to-game. FULL STORY

My Journey with Cancer
My Journey with Cancer

Feb. 18, 2012: Your biopsy has revealed that you have capillary carcinoma. Those were the words uttered to me by my endocrinologist on August 10, 2011. Capillary carcinoma is more commonly known as thyroid cancer. My endocrinologist had originally noticed a mild ‘lump’ on the right-side of my throat in December 2010 during a routine medical examination. FULL STORY

Gomez Scores! Gomez Scores! Habs beat Isles 4-2

Feb. 10, 2012: The Montreal Canadiens are a perfect 1-0 when Habs’ forward Scott Gomez scores a goal. This will likely become the latest tongue-in-cheek statistic most commonly heard today around water coolers in offices around North America. On Thursday evening, the Montreal Canadiens waltzed into Uniondale riding a two-game winning streak and managed to extend the streak to three games after the Canadiens beat the New York Islanders 4-2.
