Cornwall - Apr. 8, 2012 - People will drive a long way for a good meal, and increasingly, that means more out-of-town license plates parked outside Cornwall restaurants.

In a review published in the Watertown Daily Times newspaper, food critic Walter Siebel and three friends recently travelled from Watertown NY to Cornwall to eat at Moon restaurant (Thai & Japanese Cuisine).

The result was glowing praise from a person who obviously approaches food with a lot of passion.

"We’re over the moon for Moon," wrote Mr. Siebel.

Mr. Siebel and his party sampled a wide variety of dishes from Moon's extensive menu. These included Pumpkin tempura, maki rolls, Thai lemongrass soup, mango roll, soft shell crab tempura, shiitake mushroom sauté, sushi and sashimi, including Sushi pizza.

"Snow dragon roll (tempura shrimp, cucumber, avocado, tobiko, topped with salmon) and golden dragon roll (the same, but topped with raw salmon) were absolutely spectacular... These were obviously prepared to order with presentation second to none."

One of Mr. Siebel's dining companions was equally impressed with the wonton soup. He proclaimed the wontons (small pork-filled dumplings) “awesome - not too soft and not too hard, probably in the top 10 I've ever eaten - and I've had my fair share of wontons.”

Mr. Siebel and his party were guided on their culinary journey by an "extremely knowledgeable and helpful waiter named Tao".

Mr. Siebel summed up his experience at Moon as follows:

"We found Moon to be a wonderful restaurant ...the experience, the service, the atmosphere and the food were all on target. It’s still hard to believe the amount of top-quality food and variety of dishes that continually poured from the kitchen."
