FC Edmonton GM Appointed to the CSA Committee

FC Edmonton announced Thursday afternoon, that general manager Tom Leip has been appointed to the Canadian Soccer Association’s (CSA) Professional Soccer Committee.

Edmonton - August 31, 2012 - FC Edmonton is pleased to announce that general manager Tom Leip has been appointed to the Canadian Soccer Association’s (CSA) Professional Soccer Committee.

“It’s an honour to be invited to serve on a CSA committee,” Leip said. “I’m humbled by the invitation and look forward to providing any service I can.” The purpose of the Professional Soccer Committee is to act as a middle ground where CSA professionals and volunteers can share their knowledge and experience to help develop and deliver programs that will further the mission, vision and priorities of the CSA’s overall plan.

Leip has years of experience in the world of professional sports having worked with Portland State University as an Assistant Athletic Director as well as with the Portland Beavers baseball club and the USL Portland Timbers as their Senior Director of Sales. He began with FC Edmonton in May 2011 and continues to hold the club’s concept of player development at a high priority.
