An original Senators season ticket holder, he has followed the Senators from their infancy, including attending the very first inter-squad game in Hull and first regular season game to this their 20th year in the NHL. Greg previously interned at CBC radio sports in Toronto for a month before hosting his own radio talk show on CKCU radio in Ottawa for two years. Passionate about his Senators, Greg will provide current news and views on the Ottawa Senators organization from a global perspective. For most Canadians that watched Paul Henderson score that winning goal in game eight of the 1972 summit series, it remains to this day, the greatest single moment in Canadian sports history. Sep. 9, 2012: Yesterday marked the one year anniversary of the Yaroslavl Lokomotiv disaster. One year ago yesterday, a plane carrying the Yaroslavl Lokomotiv team to their first KHL game of the year crashed violently into the Volga River, killing 44 people, 37 players and coaches and 7 crew members. Apr. 28, 2012: This year the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) has introduced a new format for the World Hockey Championship. Previous versions had teams split into four groups, with the top three teams in each group qualifying for the second round. Feb. 10, 2012: Chris Phillips and Jason Spezza each scored a pair of goals as the Ottawa Senators beat the Nashville Predators 4-3 to stop the Senators losing streak at seven games. Feb. 8, 2012: David Perron scored a pair of goals and Brian Elliot made a triumphant return to Ottawa, making 28 saves as the St. Louis Blues beat the Ottawa Senators 3-1 at Scotiabank Place tonight. Jan. 22, 2012: Lubomir Visnovsky was credited with his fifth goal of the season to give the Anaheim Ducks a 2-1 win over the Ottawa Senators. Jan. 20, 2012: Craig Anderson made 36 saves and Colin Greening scored a pair of goals to the lead the Ottawa Senators to a 4-1 victory over the San Jose Sharks at the Shark Tank.
