When: Thursday March 13 at 2:30 pm
Where: Devonshire Mall Customer Service (across from Mappins)

Special Guests: Come join Dorothy, the Scarecrow and the Cowardly Lion who are making a special appearance to kick-off the building of the new Yellow Brick Road to LIFE.

The community is invited to purchase a personalized brick decal for $10 which will include their name, a name of a loved one or personal message. Net proceeds will go to the Canadian Cancer Society to help stop cancer in its tracks.

The Yellow Brick Road will be displayed on the floor at Devonshire Mall throughout the entire month of April 2014. People are invited to find their brick and Tweet it or Facebook it out to their friends all month!

“We are thrilled with this innovative and fun way to stop cancer in its tracks by helping to build a Yellow Brick Road”, says Judy Lund Manager, CCS-Essex Community Office. “Devonshire Mall is a landmark in our community and we think that people will have fun walking on their bricks, hopscotching on them, tweeting them out to friends. Great fun for a great cause.”, says Lund.

“We’re happy to work with the Canadian Cancer Society on this initiative,” says Karen Niforos, Devonshire Mall Marketing Director. “Devonshire Mall has a long history of supporting local not-for-profit organizations, and we think this is such a fun concept. And, who doesn’t love the idea of walking down the yellow brick road?”

Tell the Cowardly Lion not be scared, cause we’re going to stop cancer before it starts!
