Leamington - July 4, 2013 - The Board of Directors of the 2013 Leamington Tomato Festival are pleased to announce the festival lineup for this year - which marks the 30th year for the Tomato Festival and again will be at Seacliff Park.

“This has been an exciting undertaking and we hope everyone will be pleasantly surprised by the changes” says Mike Ciacelli, Co-Chair of the Festival. “First and foremost - let’s clarify that the Parade is set for Saturday the 17th. We just received the okay from the School Board to use Leamington High School as a staging ground and starting point. Parade applications will be ready early next week.”

“We’ve made changes to the entertainment as well” says Mike Caufeild-Browne, Entertainment Coordinator for the Festival. “Not only do we have two well-known entertainers as the headlines, we’ve two stages as well. Our headliners, Jully (pronounced Julie) Black will be performing on Friday night. She’s best known for her 2008 Grammy nominated Single of the Year “Seven Day Fool” and Rik Emmett - former lead singer/songwriter from Triumph - will be performing on Saturday night. Both performers will be on the LOWER MAIN STAGE - taking advantage of the natural amphitheater on the hill. During the day and leading up to both performers, we will have local artists performing on the UPPER stage - in the parking lot.”

“There are some other subtle changes as well” says Chair Sally McDonald. “We’ve moved the Stomp to Sunday - which will be Family Day and the entertainment will focus on kids. We also have a designated area for our sponsors’ booths - called Sponsors’ Alley - up near the stage and entrance of the festival. And we will be hosting a VIP Rib Dinner on the Friday night for those Corporate Sponsors at Seacliff Park. And of course, we have the Classic Car Show, the Volleyball tournaments, and the Firefighters’ Water Barrel Fights as well.”

The Festival opens on Thursday night at the Kinsmen Rec Complex with the Miss Leamington Tomato Festival Pageant. Application forms can be found at www.leamingtontomatofestival.com. Vendor applications are still being accepted.
