$1000 for Awesome idea up for grabs in Downtown Windsor
The Windsor-Essex Awesome Foundation (awesomewindsor.com) has chosen four candidates to compete for this month’s awarding of $1,000.00 for an awesome idea! It happens that four (4) of the many regional ideas submitted during this in-take all happened to be about doing something awesome in or for Downtown Windsor.

Windsor - July 12, 2013 - Four creative new ideas for a better Downtown will be presented live to the public Saturday July 13th, at 5:00 p.m. on the Chatham Street Stage.

This Saturday afternoon at 5:00 o’clock, the candidates and the Foundation trustee board will come together at the street closure event hosted by the Chatham Street Merchants. The presenters will take to the stage and do their best to win the money! After each presentation, a question and answer period will take place and anyone present can ask how this will benefit downtown.

It’s so exciting that the Downtown Windsor Business Association will award an additional grant of $250.00 to one of the ideas. Those in attendance will hear proposals about a Wine Walk, a Downtown Local Treasure Hunt, An Artist Day hosted by the Downtown Residents Association Farmers’ Market, and even the idea of having a song only about Downtown Windsor!

ALL ARE WELCOME from 4pm with presentations starting at 5pm. The location is the stage to be located on Chatham Street EAST.
