Windsor - July 29, 2013 - Our West End group hosting a town hall for residents who live by Windsor Regional Hospital, St. James grade school and Mic Mac Park.

A grassroots organization entitled Our West End is hosting a town hall on Tuesday, July 30 at the John McGivney Children's Centre (3945 Matchette Rd.) at 6:30pm.

In attendance will be Windsor Police, Windsor Fire and Rescue, Barry Horrobin and the Safety Village, among others, who will discuss crime prevention and reduction strategies, along with answer any questions residents may have. The Safety Village will then work with residents interested in developing a neighbourhood watch on their block.

Residents in the above mentioned neighbourhoods have reached out to the Our West End group to have this town hall due to a willingness to organize their respective neighbourhoods. This reflects the positive outcomes that residents in other areas of the west-end have achieved through community engagement and formation of neighbourhood watch.

For more information about the town hall, please contact Fabio Costante at 519-567-8719 or by email at fabiocostante@gmail.com.
