Colchester Villagefest set for this weekend

A new festival is coming to Essex County in the heart of Lake Erie North Shore wine country. The Colchester Villagefest will be held at the Colchester Harbour front Park at 100 Jackson St. in the Village of Colchester. This new festival has a feature not yet seen in the region. You can camp all weekend and enjoy the festivities all day and night.

Colchester - August 6, 2013 - A new festival is coming to Essex County in the heart of Lake Erie North Shore wine country.

The Colchester Villagefest will be held at the Colchester Harbour front Park at 100 Jackson St. in the Village of Colchester.

This new festival has a feature not yet seen in the region. You can camp all weekend and enjoy the festivities all day and night.

Other features include several Essex County wineries and food establishments and Walkerville Brewery. Featured bands include: Juno nominated Canadian band Cuff the Duke, 80’s Inc, Billy Raffoul, Nemesis, Eccentric Band, Karen Morand & Bosco, Prairie Siding (Country/Bluegrass) and many more.

Additional unique features include a car show on Saturday, a motorcycle show, kayaking demonstration on Sunday and guided snorkeling tours to Colchester’s newest shipwreck off the shore line of the Colchester Beach by a certified diving instructor. There will be kids’ events including an activity tent and Sunday magic show. There is also easy (free) access to the Colchester Beach and splash pad.

Shuttle busses will be available from the Harrow, Essex and Kingsville arenas all which will drop you off right in the Village.

Admission is $10.00 per day and camping spots can be reserved online for a cost of $20.00 per night or $30.00 for the weekend. Children 12 and under are admitted free to the festival grounds. There is also the opportunity to reserve a boat well at the Colchester Harbour Marina.
