Toronto - June 21, 2017 - The LCBO is extending select store hours in a number of locations across the province from Thursday, June 22 to Sunday, June 25 and on Sunday, July 2, to accommodate shopping for Canada Day activities and in advance of a potential labour disruption.

· Thursday, June 22 to Saturday, June 24
Select stores will open as early as 9:00AM to as late as 11:00PM.

· Sunday, June 25
Select stores will open from 11:00AM to as late as 6:00PM. Additionally, select downtown Toronto stores will open from as early as 9:00AM to 11:00PM in support of the City of Toronto’s Pride activities.

· Sunday, July 2
In recognition of Canada’s 150th anniversary celebrations and that the Canada Day statutory holiday will be observed on Monday, July 3, over 450 stores across Ontario will open from as early as 9:00AM to as late as 11:00PM.

All LCBO stores will be closed on Saturday, July 1 and open on Monday, July 3.

Collective bargaining is currently underway between the LCBO and OPSEU Liquor Board Employees Division (LBED), with the Union in a legal strike position as of 12:01AM Monday, June 26. To ensure access to the best product selection and to avoid disappointment, customers should shop in advance of Sunday, June 25 if possible.

The LCBO remains focused on reaching a fair, sustainable and responsible collective agreement, however in the event of a labour disruption, has plans to provide some level of service. Details will be made available as needed.

Updates on collective bargaining are available at lcbonegotiations.com
